The past weekend has been a rollercoaster of unexpected happenings that got many people confirming the reality in that local jargon of “Ki Uganda Kinyuma” – to mean Uganda is Fun. The biggest highlight from the birthday celebrations was a wide mix of unexpected Re-Unions between past nemesis’s, sworn enemies or whatever you may choose to call it. The massive Re-Union vibe did not spare Presidents Yoweri Museveni and Paul Kagame who also met in Uganda again after over 4 years! Our main focus of the re-union today will however focus on Controversial political analyst, propagandist and veteran Journalist Joseph Tamale Mirundi Sr who finally re-united with his long time public sworn enemies Journalist Andrew Mwenda and Minister Frank Tumwebaze.

The dinner was attended by President Yoweri Museveni, First Lady Janet Museveni, other First Family members, Rwanda President Paul Kagame, senior government officials as well as Muhoozi’s close friends. In the photos making rounds on social media, Mirundi and Mwenda are seen having a light moment and rubbing their shoulders together.

Insiders reveal their fellow veteran Journalist, Arinaitwe Rugyendo mediated their reconciliation. In the same line, the same Mirundi was still seen hugging with Agriculture Minister Frank Tumwebaze, his other sworn public enemy on Saturday during the birthday celebrations in Kololo. In a viral video that made rounds on social media, Mirundi was asked by the VIP section emcee JK Kazoora to move and meet the minister a move that saw the duo hugging.

Over the years, Mirundi, has accused Mwenda and Tumwebaze of being part of the powerful mafia clique that doesn’t wish him any good in Uganda. In 2020, Mirundi named six of his enemies (including Mwenda and Tumwebaze) who were working around the clock to ensure that he is no more. Mirundi said his differences with the six people were irreconcilable because they have humiliated him, he swore never to be in the same midst with any of them, he even disclosed that he would rather choose death than meeting any of those people he termed as “Mafias”.

With Mirundi eating his words by meeting and rubbing shoulders with the “Mafias” the big question that arises is, has he finally made peace with them and are they Friends again? If so, where does his Re-Union with Mwenda and Tumwebaze leave his other enemies like Gen Proscovia Nalweyiso, Col Edith Nakalema, Robert Kabushenga, and Geoffrey Kulubya? Lets watch the space!
