Famously known for his Calmness and Unique style of anchoring news on Television, celebrated Journalist Frank Walusimbi anchored his last bulletin on NTV Uganda last evening, Thursday 28, April 2022.
“This is the last bulletin iam anchoring, who knows in the future, god willing, whether i will make a return! thankyou for standing with me” said walusimbi as he closed the akawungeezi news.
NTV Uganda confirmed his decision to quit through a tweet thanking him for the job well done. ” Thank you Frank and we wish you the best.” the tweet read in part.
Frank joined NTV over 15 years ago since its inception in 2006. Shortly before joining the station, he worked as a features reporter with the DailyMonitor newspaper. Walusimbi has been a media brand to reckon with, he was part of the generation that revolutionized Luganda News Anchoring on Ugandan Television. Frank’s mastery and style of anchoring and presentation ensured continued popularity of the NTV Luganda news bulletin “Akawuungeezi”.
Frank’s next endevours and moves are not yet known but his former workmates and fans wished him all the best in his life ahead, the love and memories are still flowing in on social media from the many people that enjoyed his presentation, to the work collegues, to the ones that he inspired to join the Journalism world, all the best Frank!
