2019 is a year that socialite, social media comedian and Radio personality Martha Kay will forever want to forget and erase from her memories.
This was after her n#des got leaked onto social media causing quite a stir. Now the person who leaked them, a one Herbert Arinitwe has been denied bail. Arinitwe was arrested in July 2019 by CMI and reprimanded to Luzira Upper Prison. This alleged culprit was also accused of robbing two mobile phones a Samsung Galaxy and an IPhone from Martha Kay, real name Martha Kemigisha Kagimba These were valued at 6 million shillings and its said that he also made off with her ATM card and 400,000 shillings cash.
Its said that he drugged Martha Kay with scopolamine before robbing her another accusation on the charge sheet. After pleading to not being guilty of the charges of aggravated robbery and offensive communication under the Computer Misuse Act, Arinitwe was reprimanded to Luzira Upper Prison by Buganda Road Magistrate Court. Arinitwe says that these charges are trumped up since Martha took the pictures herself and besides all the charges are framed on him.
He further said that he deserves to be released on bail after his case that was slated for September 2019 never got attendance. The DPP, Timothy Amerit however opposed this saying that letting him out will be letting him off the hook as he’s likely to skip the trial. The case has bow been set for 14th April 2022 for hearing by Justice Isacc Muwata.
