The search for a stable team to host the Breakfast show at Galaxy FM has proved to be a failure of time.
News hot on the hills is that Collins Emeka and Precious Remmy AKA Ray P who previously hosted the Morning Saga show are no longer hosts at the Kansanga best radio station. On whether they threw in the towel or they were simply axed for their inconsistency is a story for another day but for now, we can authoritatively confirm that the duo was immediately replaced by well known Alpha Tymz who previously worked with Baba FM in Jinja and a less known Mbabazi Winnie.
On Monday, Emeka who is popularly known as Romantic Mukiga informed his fans that he was quitting the station he had joined exactly one year back having moved on from the now defunct Bukoto based Hot 100 Radio.
On the other hand, Ray P who last appeared on the Galaxy FM airwaves on Friday 1, April hasnt communicated about the matter. It should be noted that the same Ray P is a no show at the Serena based Spark TV, having been replaced with a one Immy Candance on their downward sloping gossip show Live Wire. The big question about Ray P now is, Is she unemployed or is getting fixed somewhere else in these same spaces?
For Emeka, our close sources have reliably confirmed to us that he is set to join the Namuwongo based KFM radio under the Nation media group. While there, Emeka is expected to replace James Peterson on the K-Drive show since Peterson was poached by Naguru based Nxt Radio.
Galaxy FM management has severely had a very tough time stabilizing their Breakfast show “The Morning Saga”. When Andrew Kyamagero threw in the towel in early 2018, Mr Mosh was brought form their drive show “The Evening Rush” to join the morning crew that then had Mariat and Dikanio. Before we knew it, Dikanio also left the station under unknown circumstances leaving a big vacuum that has somehow been covered up by Detacha who joined the show after Dikanio’s departure.
The show now moved into another phase with Mr Mosh, Mariat and Detacha, before we knew it, Mr Mosh threw in the towel to join elective politics and also Mariat moved on to concentrate on Marriage. At this point, the show had a round turn over that saw the phase of Jonathan Nalebo and Ray P teaming up with Detacha and later Emeka, Ray P and Detacha.
Today the pair moved leaving Detacha as the last man standing, we are now into the phase of Alpha Tymz and Winnie teaming up with Detacha. At this point, the big question that stands is, will this trio stand the taste of time? How long are they going to stay before the station takes us into another phase, time will tell!
