Latest reports reaching our news desk indicate that a group of thugs armed with Machete attacked the home of Former presidential press secretary and renowned political analyst, Tamale Mirundi in Kyengera town council.
The incident happened on the night of 28th February 2024.
Tamale Mirundi Junior narrated that at approximately 3 am three armed robbers invaded his father’s home, however, his father’s security managed to prevent the assailants from gaining access to the home as they fired bullets at them, ensuring the safety of life and property.
Subsequently, they managed to flee the scene and no one was injured in the due course of the event.
It is reported that this is the fourth time Mirundi’s home has been targeted by unknown assailants.
The incident came just a few days after the Nidga clan head was attacked by gunmen Daniel Bbosa and shot dead in Lungujja- Rubaga division.
Police are yet to come out to make an official statement about the incident and we shall keep you updated.
