KING OF THE MIC: MC Kats Gets Gifted With A Car By Pallaso Plus Buying 2M Worth Tickets For His Show

Famous singer Pius Mayanja aka PALLASO gifted Veteran events MC and renowned TV show host, Edwin Katamba with a car on Friday evening live on television. This happened during a famous TV show called “Amasengejje Extra” which airs on NBS TV every evening, where MC Kats thanked Pallaso for gifting him with a car.

The make car which Kats was given is a BMW, black in color and it appears to be used and not brand new. An excited Kats couldn’t hide his joy live on TV and he went on to thank Pallaso for his generosity and being appreciative of the works of Kats.
On the other hand, Singer Pallaso, who also calls himself the “Sucker free boss” was equally elated and he said that he felt it`s his duty to gift Kats with a car. He also said that their relationship with Kats comes from way back in 2003 before he even went to The United States of America.

Pallaso says that while he was still struggling as an upcoming artiste, MCs never used to give him the opportunity to perform on stage even when it was for free. However, it is MC Kats who first gave him a microphone to sing on stage.
Therefore, Pallaso says that it was now his time to pay back MC Kats for his good deeds. Kats also confirmed that he had bought 200 tickets worth two million Shillings for the “KING OF THE MIC SHOW” and that he had bought those tickets for his fans. He also called on fellow musicians to buy tickets for this show and supports MC Kats because he has also supported them in their businesses.

The “King of the Mic” show is an annual show which is organized by veteran events MC, Kats to celebrate his efforts as an MC. This edition is going to take place at Wonderworld in Kansanga, the former “Didi’s world” Many artists have been announced to perform together with a number of MCs.

MC Kats have maintained his name as one of the best MCs in Uganda and his career spans over fifteen years in the entertainment business. Kats started his craft in the early 2000s while he was still in school. He has since then made a name for himself. He has supported a number of musicians and also directly brought some of them, such as Fille, into the business.


Apart from Kats, there are other media personalities who also started organizing their own festivals and these include Douglas Lwanga of the “Purple Party” Crystal Panda of “Panda Turn up,” DJ Nimrod of the “White party” and so many others. This is a good idea because it helps the industry to grow and also helps these media personalities to earn extra money, given that on average the media doesn’t really pay well.
