Renowned Ugandan musician, Jose Chameleone, has diverted attention from a potential music battle with Bebe Cool to organize an extravagant two-day concert at the prestigious Kampala Serena Hotel, set to take place in August. Recent reports suggest that Chameleone is pouring his energy into making this event a standout moment on the local music scene.

Sources close to the artist have disclosed that the entrance fee for attendees is fixed at $100, underscoring the exceptional quality of both the performance and venue. This move signifies Chameleone’s commitment to delivering a top-notch musical experience for his fans.

This isn’t the first time Chameleone has taken the stage at the Serena Hotel. In 2014, he orchestrated the ‘One Man, One Million’ concert, gaining attention for its distinctive ticket pricing strategy. Originally priced at one million Ugandan Shillings (UGX), equivalent to approximately $275 at the time, the cost was later adjusted to UGX 500,000 and UGX 200,000 as the event date approached.

Despite facing challenges in attendance, the ‘One Man, One Million’ concert had a noble cause, directing proceeds towards the construction of boreholes and pit latrines in various communities within the Karamoja region. While the turnout did not meet expectations, Chameleone’s upcoming Serena Hotel concert is poised to be a major highlight in the Ugandan music calendar.
