Singer Sheebah Karungi held a two-day concert on Friday and Saturday nights at Serena Hotel where she indeed proved to her fans and naysayers that she is now a ‘class above sea level’.
Queen Karma as she calls herself is made history as the first Ugandan artist to schedule a back-to-back concert in the same place and registered a tremendous triumph. To the revellers, both days fully registered success.
On both nights, the queen was supported by her fellow artists who fully exhibited a wonderful performance leaving big spenders in awe. She shared a stage with Spice Diana, Ann Kansiime, Lilian Mbabazi, Chance Nalubega, Pia Pounds, King Saha, Lydia Jazmine, Winnie Nwagi, Chozen Blood among otheres: the three indeed left no stone unturned.
Sheebah`s concert was produced by her fellow artist Aziz Azion whom they have collaborated on projects like “Love” and “Omulembe” in a show that was attended by industry players like veteran musicians Halimah Namakula and Ragga Dee as well as socialites like Judith Heard and Anitah Fabiola and also former miss Uganda Olivier Nakakande among others like “Team Chairman”, mobilization group promoting the achievements and programmes of Gen.Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
This was Sheebah`s first Concert ever since she parted ways with her Former manager Jeff Kiwanuka of Team No Sleep. Previously, her last concerts under the old Management were “Nkwatako Concert” in 2016 and “Omwoyo Concert” 2018, before she went solo.
On Sunday, Sheebah took this concert to Freedom City on Entebbe road on Namasuba as organized by Kt Events and Fenon Event.
All the three shows were worth her 12 years Journey in the Musical Business. She pulled out a very stunning performance accompanied by a group of choreographers, and Backup singers from Maestro Band.
For someone who started out as a dancer of the defunct Obsessions group, Sheebah proved just how she had grown musically over the past decade.
Back to the Serena show on Friday, Sheebah went ahead to introduce her immediate family to the audience and the “Sheebaholics” were blessed to physically see Sheebah`s mother Edith Kabazungu who thanked the fans for loving her daughter. “Thanks for loving my Daughter, may the lord reward you abundantly” she said.
Sheebah on the other hand couldn’t control the love she has for her mother and her entire family who also joined her on stage to thank the attendees.
