Singer Bebe Cool has come out to dare his forever on and off friend and fellow musician Dr Jose Chameleone to a musical battle.
While appearing on NBS TV’s After 5 program, the Gyenvudde singer said that of all the people he’s battled, it’s Chameleone he’s waiting on. He added that he feels their pair would have the biggest concert in Uganda.
“Of all the people I have battled, it’s Mayanja that I’m awaiting. I feel we shall be cheating Uganda and Africa if we don’t hold this concert. We both have the music and it would be a fantastic show. With the previous two battles I did, I outsmarted my competitors because I did research about their music prior to the shows unlike them,” Bebe Cool said.
Bebe Cool however revealed that Jose Chameleon told him that they shouldn’t battle but should just let people celebrate their music. The singer also revealed the tactics he used to battle his previous battle contests. He was questioned whether there is a possibility that Bobi Wine could join this battle too. Bebe Cool said that it’s absolutely okay if he still identifies as a musician.
Bebecool has in the past decade musically battled with the Goodlyfe crew of the Late Mwozey Radio and Weasle aswell as musician turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi famously known as Bobiwine. Bebecool claims to have won these battles, however his counterparts claim the victory too, this has forever been left to the fans who attended these shows.
The singer also talked about the gossip shows which were pushed by the UCC to air at 10pm. Bebe Cool said that although these have contributed to the industry, they have greatly damaged the sector too.
He concluded by pleading with the President to open up the entertainment sector. Bebe said that most of the beneficiaries of this sector are depressed due to poverty and it’s in the upcoming festive season that they make money.
