DCM Empire singer Alfa Ssebunya alias Mudra D’Viral has been accused by a fast-rising singer Carol Sky for allegedly defrauding her of Shs27m.
Carol Sky narrates that she was linked to Mudra through a mutual friend known as DJ LL and worked on a music project titled “Koona” on a very friendly note.
However, hell broke loose when the time for promotion came up. Carol Sky explains that Mudra requested her to fork out a sum of Shs 27 million that they would spend on promoting the song to make her known.
Having injected in the money, Mudra allegedly didn’t do the requested work of promoting the song he was demanded to do and Carol Sky believes that he just pocketed the money for his other dealings.
At the moment, she has tasked Mudra to refund the money she gave him and threatened to take legal action if he fails to return the money.
‘’I was put up to speed with Mudra by ex-friend DJ LL. We then worked on a song titled Koona. Mudra asked for Shs 6m which I gladly paid. He also asked for more money such as promoting the song. All this resulted in roughly Shs 30m. However, he didn’t do anything in regards to promoting the song. I had to go through the people meant to promote the song and pay them again,” she said.
When Mudra was contacted for a response, he denied the allegations. Being a staunch Muslim, he even swore on his religion. The singer said that Carol Sky confided in him and wanted him to treat her like he had been doing to Ava Peace.
Mudra also added that he has all the proof of how Carol Sky’s money was spent. And if need be, they will go to Court because she tainted his name.
