22 year old Nigerian singer Ruger who was in Kampala last weekend is currently in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital where he is expected to perform for his fans. Ruger will be performing together with fellow Nigerian singer AV as top headliners at the Drip City’s first mega concert to be held at Canal Olympia Rebero tonight in Kigali and the pair has promised to deliver the best in their performances.
to showcase some of his projects which have been trending globally. Born Michael Adebayo Olayinka, Ruger also noted that being able to perform in Kigali is an opportunity to get introduced to other sounds from different cultures. “The energy is still the same. Let’s all come early and have the best party in Kigali,” The ‘Dior’ hit maker said. In addition, Ruger revealed that he is looking forward to collaborate with local artistes in Rwanda especially the fast rising ones making different genres such as Afro-beat and Hip Hop.
Drip City Entertainment, the team organizing the show is a new entertainment company in Kigali. Fast rising Rwandan artiste Ish Kevin, Ariel Ways, Kenny K-shot, and Afrique, an upcoming artiste behind ‘Agatunda’, are among other local artistes who will perform at the event. Tickets for the event are available at Rwf10, 000 regular, Rwf25, 000 VIP and a table of six people at Rwf300, 000.
During his performance in Kampala last week at the Big Branch Concert at Dungu Resort Munyonyo, Ruger did not attract a big turn up of revellers, hopefully history wont repeat itself this time round for him in Kigali. where he thrilled thousands of music lovers, something he believes will be similar in Kigali.
