It takes courage and anointing for one to choose to serve God using their art. In an industry where many artists choose to go secular, Dr. Suudi chose to go gospel. Its not everyday that we see man use his craft to appreciate God, this is exactly what gospel singer Dr Suudi, real name Ngobe Masudi Ssentongo Muzzangganda chose to do with his latest music release titled “Nkwagala Nnyo”.
In the song, which is translated to mean “I love you soo much”, the singer expresses his love, appreciation and faith in his God! In the first verse, he states certain happenings in the world that are as a result of Gods making something that makes him appreciate his goodness. Dr Suudi relates with a moon which gives off natural light in the night. He further wonders how God is able to maintain the heavens and the earth before he confirms that he no longer desires earthly things because they come and go but Gods love and mercy is eternal.
In the songs chorus, the singer continues to sing about his love for God in lines that go like “Nkwagala Nnyoo ….. nkwagala nnyooo eehhhh”. Dr Suudi continues to confirm that he wouldn’t be who he is today if Jesus didn’t die for him on the cross. “Nkwagala Nnyoo” was written by Dr Suudi himself together with Jahlead, the audio was produced by Nessim and the video was directed by Sasha Vybz.
Just like his past songs like Its Over and Answer, in “Nkwagala Nnyoo“, Dr Suudi employed determination with a spice and touch of lyrical maturity. The video was also rich in scripting where the message is clearly portrayed. With these bits all put onto one project its no doubt this is master piece.
WHO IS DR. SUUDI?
Born Masudi Ngobe Ssentongo Muzzangganda in 1986 to a muslim father and Christian mother, Dr Suudi as he is fondly referred to by friends and fans is a certified voice over artist. CEO at Wave Records, a professional Radio Host, Producer of credible commercial ads, Emcee, husband, entrepreneur and father. Dr, Suudi got saved and accepted Jesus as his savior around 1998. He previously worked as a radio presenter with one of the biggest radio stations in Uganda, Super FM where he was also pursuing his music career producing songs like Chipolopolo that was a big song in the gospel fraternity in East Africa.
His latest single “Nkwagala Nnyo” is a song that expresses Dr Suudi’s love for God. According to him, “It basically comes as a result of what I went through as a person and my family during the first Covid 19 wave. At some point me and the entire family was down with the Coronavirus. With poor health service delivery, very expensive covid treatment and ending up in Intensive care on Life support had me believing only in God for a second change which HE granted me. Reflecting on all the hardships, struggles and wonders God did for me and my people, we came up With song “Nkwagala Nnyo” explaining our gratitude to the Almighty”, he says
