Comedian Anne Kansiime is in mourning the untimely demise of his dad Chris Kubiryaba. She confirmed the news on her socials. “Long distance relationships are difficult. My dad has gone to be with my mom.”
The news is certain to heavily impact on the funny girl as she has previously discussed her close relationship with her dad. “I would like to think I’m not the only girl accused of loving their father more than their mum growing up. I call my father my boy lollipop,” she said.
“I have always done that since I owned my first phone 17 years ago, something that cost me a few redundant relationships growing up with sons of women assuming I was cheating on them whenever my dad would give me his daily routine evening calls to check on me. You have been my love since time in malaria and that love has only grown Musigazi. I love you, dad, and continue to count my blessings.”
The news of her father’s death is devastating after she lost her mother in June last year. “God’s ways are indeed not our ways! My mother has gone to be with the Lord this morning,” she posted on Instagram accompanied by a picture of her and her late mother. Her late father is a retired banker, and her departed mother has been a housewife.
