On Thursday, celebrated art critic and media personality from Dembe FM Jenkins Mukasa broke news that seasoned talent manager Jeff Kiwa and singer Sheebah Karungi’s had officially split up.
While being hosted by his “Talk & Talk show” workmate Kasuku on his youtube channel, Mukasa revealed that Sheebah had thrown in the towel sometime back and this time round there is no point of return because even her perfomance bookings are currently handled by a one Diriisa, who currently serves as her manager.
When we tried to dig deeper, our sources within Jeff Kiwa‘s Team no sleep camp (TNS) confirmed this talk to be true. It is no doubt that Jeff Kiwa is one of the best music managers in Uganda but he is also very controlling. Many thought Jeff Kiwa had finally found chemistry with Sheebah in all aspects, music and beyond. Now we have learnt that the two are no more.
Following Jeff’s split with the Goodlyfe, he had tried to claim a share of the house. But thanks to
Radio’s resilience, this did not happen. Now we are yet to see if we shall have a repeat of the same history Sheebah’s Munyonyo house as Jeff Kiwa last year claimed a 50% shareholding in the property. Jeff had also claimed that he has rights to all of Sheebah’s music and she will be liable to a fine if she performs them without permission from TNS.
This could turn out to be one of the biggest legal battles in history. It is said that after the split with Goodlyfe, Jeff had now tightened his locks making it impossible for him to lose out to any artiste in a deal gone bad. We are also told that the two shared something more than music and that too is on the rocks. This is not the first time split-up rumors between these two business partners has surfaced, earlier last year the same made rounds only for Sheebah to continue releasing music with taglines of TNS, something that rubbished the claims.
