Singers Adele and Ed-Sheeran are both leading the BRITs award nominations after getting four nods each.
The two English singers will battle it out as they both received four nominations from the same categories. Adele received the first nod in the category of Album of the year and is expected to go head-to-head with Ed Sheeran, Dave, Little Simz, and Sam Fender. The duo will also compete in the category of Artist of the year alongside Dave, Little Simz, and Sam Fender.
The other two categories that Adele and Ed Sheeran received nods from were song of the year for ‘Easy on me’ and ‘Bad Habits’ respectfully and best pop/R&B. Rappers Little Simz and Dave also received four nominations in the BRIT awards. The awards also saw international artists such as Drake, Lil Nas X, Taylor Swift, Billie EilishDoja Cat and The Weeknd among others get nominated in the international category.
The BRIT awards event is scheduled to take place in London on February 8, 2022.
